VeeIye drops new single

Ex Big Brother Naija Lockdown Edition housemate, Victoria Adeyele popularly known as VeeIye recently dropped her first single of the year titled; “Let Dem Say”. With catchy phrases like; “Could have been yours but you wanted to play,” and “Let Dem Say”, VeeIye affirms that she isn’t here to play.

This arrives days after she announced that she will be co-hosting Budweiser Smooth Kings Remix show, she earlier appeared as a guest on. It looks like this year will be Vee’s year and we are excited for her.

Budweiser Smooth Kings Remix season 2

BNXN and Lojay teams up in new season of Budweiser Smooth Kings Remix where they added their spice and vibe in a remake of popular song titled, Kukere by Iyanya that made waves back in the days.

With over 20 artistes collaborating to perform a successful remix to a song that is given to them, the remix show had a successful season with artistes like Niniola and Chike, Teni and Johnny Drille, Blaqbonez and Ladipoe, Ycee and VeeIye among many others performing a remix song on the show.

This season is hosted by Dadaboy Ehiz and VeeIye and it only promises to get better.

Kizz Daniel drops new single

Kizz Daniel recently announced his single featuring Tekno titled “Buga”coming May 5th. He announced this on his social media handles. The track is produced by RewardBeatz and it fast became the most popular song in Nigeria.

Burnaboy has announced his sixth studio album

Confirming July 2nd as the release date for his new album titled, “Love, Damini”, real name, Damini Ogulu, announced the album in a video asking fans to pre-save. Riding off his success of selling New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden, where he made history as the first Nigerian to headline the venue. The show was a complete success while he performed an unreleased track of the “Love, Damini”album.

The album release date also doubles as his 31st birthday. He also recently released another single off the album titled, “Last Last”; a song dedicated to heartbreak.

BNXN fka Buju teams up with Zino

BNXN collaborates with Zinoleesky on the remix of his popular hit single, “Kilometer”. The song was released recently after some minor delay and they both delivered solid verses that made the song slightly better than the original song.

The singer also recently celebrated his birthday, where he distributed cash gifts to his loyal fans.

Tems makes another international feature

Nigerian singer, Tems makes another international feature on Future’s new album, “I Never Liked You” with Drake, the track is titled, “Wait For You”. The song is a sample of her track, “Higher” and the track is number 1 on US Apple Music Tracks.

Wizkid Set To Release New Song

After reportedly getting $1 million to headline the 2022 Rolling Loud music festival in September that is set to hold in Canada for the first time in history, Afrobeats super star, Wizkid has informed fans that he will be releasing a new song soon.

He made the announcement via his social media platforms recently.

Victony releases new song plus album

Fast rising singer, Victony dropped his brand new single titled, “Kolomental”. This comes after his first hit single this year, “Apollo”. It comes ahead of his album titled “Outlaw” that was released recently.

Davido jumps on Young Jonn’s Dada

O.B.O jumps on the remix to Young Jonn hit single, “Dada”. We all know Davido is the king of remixes so seeing him on the track, where he collaborates with the producer turned singer was no surprise.

Even though the original sounded better, the song was not a bad listen.

Home coming 2022

Homecoming returned to Nigeria April 15th -18th for its fourth edition, with fashion, music, arts and sports being the central theme of the festival. The most anticipated music event was held on April 17th, with performances from rising talents all across Africa which includes Central Cee, Ardee, Black Sherif, Fireboy DML, Lojay, Zinoleesky, BNXN aka Buju, Midas the Jagaban, among others.

In celebration of ‘weed day’ that happens April 20 of every year, South London’s Midas the Jagaban and Liya have teamed up to drop “420”. Fusing afrobeats and amapiano, they deliver a universal song for all weed smokers out there.

Drake claps back at troll who made fun of his son

Recently, Drake shut down a troll who attempted to throw shade at both Drake and his four year old son. He wrote,

“I just followed your girl cause she’s prob miserable and needs some excitement in her life.”

More than 5 Nigerian artistes dropped new music all on the same day, May 13th. Davido with his single titled, “Stand Strong” featuring Sunday Service Choir, Dj Spinall and Asake with “Palazzo”, Zinoleesky with “Loving You”, Mavins celebrating their 10th year anniversary with the track titled “Overdose” featuring Arya Starr, Magixx, Crayon, Ladipoe and Boy Spyce among others.

Billboard Awards 2022

The Billboard awards was held recently and here is what the winner’s list looks like; they named Drake top artist, male artist, rap artist, rap male artist and rap album for “Certified Lover Boy.” Which made him themost decorated winner in the history of the awards show with 34 wins. Olivia Rodrigo took home seven awards, which included best new artist, and Kanye West, also known as Ye, won six awards.

Doja Cat won four awards which includes; top R&B artist and R&B female artist for the second consecutive year, along with top R&B album and female artist. Other winners include Megan the Stallion, BTS, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Nigerian act, Burnaboy who performed two singles off his unreleased album, “Love Damini” among others.

It looks like this is going to be a regular thing.
