Review of Carry On, Simon Snow

HAPPY NEW MONTH,BOOK LOVERS

If you are looking for a sweet, romance story between two guys with a lot of Harry Potter vibes and a mixture of magic and vampires in it, then look no further Carry On, Simon Snow by Rainbow Rowell is the ideal book that fits all these descriptions.

About the Book?

Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen. That’s what his roommate, Baz says. And he might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right. Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him and there’s a magic eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. It’s their last year at the Walford School of Magicks and Simon’s infuriating nemesis, Baz didn’t even bother to show up. Carry On is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery.

the Book

It is a magic book and it is a lot similar to Harry Potter, that’s bold. The book was beautifully written.

The plot of the book as well. It’s a love story but with a mystery twist to it. The book is refreshing and very creative which was refreshing to read. It is such a fun read.

It was kind of slow at the beginning, it picked up right after. And the book has a lot of character’s points of view so the book is being read in many people’s perspective that made a lot of sense.

The characters were all likable except the villain of course. Every character was unique in their ways. Baz and Simon were the best characters, their love story, their journey, their conversations, their magic, everything about them was interesting to read. I couldn’t help but miss them immediately.

The novel is a queer theme to it.It like a queer Harry Potter book. One of the cutest boy x boy love story ever. The novel is a love story in a magic world.

First Rainbow Rowell book the style of writing stood out. Looking forward to reading more of her books. The review on the sequel is a progress which will be exciting like the first.

It has the enemies to lovers tale too because Simon and Baz hated each other or so they thought. It is just such a cute romance story and it has to be one of the best queer books.

The ending was so good, you will want to grab the second part to read immediately.

Final Thoughts:

Recommended to everyone interested to a queer Harry Potter type of book. 5 stars, it’s that good so read the book or add to your to be read list. It’s totally worth it.
